Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s agent, Mamuka Jugeli, was reportedly spotted in Barcelona on Tuesday to watch Napoli‘s 3-1 loss in the Champions League Round of 16 while negotiations over a new contract with the Partenopei continue.
Calciomercato.com reports Kvara’s agent was in Barcelona on Tuesday night to watch Napoli’s defeat against the La Liga giants at the Estadi Olímpic.
Kvaratskhelia is one of Napoli’s most important players, but his € 1.5 m per season salary clearly does not reflect his status at the Stadio Maradona.
Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis recently promised to discuss a contract extension with the player’s entourage at the end of the season, but talks between the two parties are already ongoing, as Jugeli’s trip to Barcelona proved.
However, Kvara has also been linked with a move to Barcelona in the summer, so Jugeli’s presence in Catalunya will likely fuel transfer speculations in the coming weeks.
Kvaratskhelia, 23, has 10 goals and six assists in 37 appearances across all competitions this season.
