Marash Kumbulla admits Roma ‘lacked concentration and conceded avoidable goals’ in a 2-1 Conference League quarter-final defeat to Bodo/Glimt.

It was another nightmare in Norway for the Giallorossi, who were beaten here 6-1 in October during the Conference League group phase and held 2-2 at the Stadio Olimpico.

This time they had gone in front through Lorenzo Pellegrini’s strike, but Bodo/Glimt turned it around to win 2-1 with Ulrik Saltnes redirecting a Brice Wembangomo effort and late Hugo Vetlesen free header on a set play.

The second leg is next Thursday and Roma need to win by two clear goals to reach the semi-final of the Conference League.

“We lacked concentration, especially on the second goal, which was very much avoidable,” Kumbulla told Sky Sport Italia.

“Now we need to put this behind us, focus on Sunday and then get ready for the second leg. We certainly will learn something more from this game, we need to improve, from tomorrow we can think about the errors we made and try not to repeat them.”
