Verona defender Marash Kumbulla says Giorgio Chiellini is his idol and that he is ‘proud’ of the help Albania has given to Italy during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Juventus are among the clubs to have been linked with Kumbulla in recent months, and the 20-year-old made no secret of his admiration for their captain.
“As a young lad, I had a poster of Chiellini in my bedroom,” he told Corriere della Sera.
“I’ve always admired his determination and desire to improve. He’s a real warrior on the field.

“The striker who has put me in most trouble so far is Dybala due to his physical and technical characteristics. He’s like a tightrope walker.
“My dream is to play in the Champions League.”
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama last week sent 30 doctors and nurses to Italy, helping the country in its fight with coronavirus.
“I’m proud of Prime Minister Rama’s gesture at such a difficult time for Italy, which has always been by our side whenever we needed them.
“I thank him and the doctors who have come over from Albania.”
