Juventus’ Dejan Kulusevski says he wants to become ‘as strong as Kevin De Bruyne’ and adds he was happy to return to Parma.

The Swede, who played at the Ennio Tardini on loan last season, scored Juventus’ opener against the Ducali on Saturday.

“I also won a Primavera title here, I was very happy to return and meet my former teammates,” the 20-year-old told DAZN.

“When you play, you must have fun. We are all collaborating, we know we can’t all play in the same role, we have to change and look at the position of other teammates. It’s easy and I really enjoy it.

“If I could choose my position, I would set myself free. Everyone wants to be free, but I need to follow the coach and listen to him. He gives me freedom.”

When he was asked if he likes to be compared with Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne, he replied: “De Bruyne is a very strong player, I absolutely want to become as strong as he is. He is everywhere, he starts deep, he scores and provides assists. I look at him and many others, he is a role model.”

Are his Juventus’ side better than Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s Milan?

“We’ll see at the end, the best one will win.”
