Dejan Kulusevski is ‘grateful for the opportunity to play in a legendary stadium’ like San Siro and trusts Tottenham to raise their mentality for Milan in the Champions League.

The first leg in the Round of 16 kicks off at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, known as San Siro for the area of the city it is located in, on Tuesday at 20.00 GMT.

Spurs have had a chaotic few weeks, capable of beating Manchester City only to then lose 4-1 against Leicester City.

“The most difficult thing in football is to find the same mentality in every game. When you don’t do that in the Premier League, you pay the price,” Kulusevski told Sky Sport Italia.

“We must be ready, as tomorrow we have an important match against a very strong side tomorrow. We have to give more during moments of difficulty.”

Kulusevski is no stranger to Italy, having played for Parma and Juventus, while he was also on the Atalanta books, but he can never have enough trips to San Siro.

“It will be a little different tomorrow. I am grateful for this opportunity and happy to play in such a legendary stadium. I will give my all to help the team.”

The Sweden international has gone from strength to strength at Spurs since leaving Juventus in January 2022 and so far this season has two goals and six assists in 19 competitive games.

Kulusevski faced both Inter and Milan on a total 15 occasions, but never managed to score against them.
