Bologna defender Victor Kristiansen insists he sees ‘no future’ at Leicester City so he expects to remain at the Stadio Dall’Ara in 2024-25.

Kristiansen joined the Rossoblu from Leicester City on an initial loan deal last summer. Bologna have an option to make his move permanent at the end of the season and the 20-year-old hopes to stay at his current club beyond June.

As reported by Sunday’s printed edition of Il Corriere dello Sport on page 23, Danish reporters have asked Kristiansen whether he feels he can return to Leicester City at the end of the season, but he replied: “No, at the moment, there’s no future for me there.”

The Denmark defender left the Foxes last summer due to disagreements with Enzo Maresca over his role.

The Italian coach wanted to play Kristiansen as a left centre-back in a three-man defence, while the Danish defender wanted to develop as a left-back.

Kristiansen revealed the reason why he left Leicester City during his unveiling press conference in August.

Kristiansen has made three appearances with the Denmark national team and played 86 minutes as a left-back in a 2-1 win over Slovenia on November 17.
