“With two goals in the opening 10 minutes, we got going very quickly,” the Coach said after the match.

“It was important to start well in order to make the differences that existed between us and Pescara count.

“I’m also happy to have given minutes to those who haven’t had many. Progressing in the Coppa was an objective. Now we’ll have so many commitments until January.

“Squad players? I wouldn’t call them that. I prefer to say that in every game, I try to name the best and most suitable team.

“I saw what I needed to see. Now we’ll face Lazio, one of the five teams ahead of us [in Serie A]. They all have different characteristics but are nonetheless very strong.

“Kownacki? Schick has a great sense of his opponents’ goal, but he also knows how to join the play.

“Kownacki is more complete and sees his opponents’ goal like only a few others do, plus he scores so much in training. He’ll become a top player.”
