Spezia have officially signed Viktor Kovalenko from Atalanta, but Aleksei Miranchuk won’t have his Torino medical until Ademola Lookman is secured.

Kovalenko already spent last season on loan at Spezia and has now made the move a permanent one for a reported €2.5m fee.

He made 26 Serie A appearances for Spezia last season, scoring one goal and providing four assists.

Atalanta had also agreed to send Miranchuk to Torino on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season for circa €8m.

However, his planned medical over the last few days was postponed.

It is because La Dea won’t let the Russia international leave until they have first secured a deal for his replacement, RB Leipzig winger Lookman.
