The midfielder is in the squad for Croatia’s Euro 2016 qualifier at San Siro on Sunday evening.
“It is a very important game for us tomorrow, as these are the two best teams in the group,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

While Kovacic has been away with Croatia on international duty, his club have sacked Coach Mazzarri to bring in Roberto Mancini.
