According to Il Corriere della Sera, Chelsea are interested in Kalidou Koulibaly and the defender’s agent is in London to negotiate with the Blues.

The Premier League giants need to sign at least one new centre-back in the summer and have set their sights on several Serie A defenders. They are in talks with Juventus‘ Matthijs de Ligt and are keeping a close eye on Inter‘s Milan Skriniar and Stevan de Vrij.

According to Il Corriere della Sera, Koulibaly is their latest target in the Italian league.

The contract of the Senegal international runs out in June 2023 and he has rejected Napoli‘s offer to extend his stay at the Stadio Maradona. Earlier this month, he admitted that he still doesn’t know where he’ll play next season.

Il Corriere reports that Chelsea are interested and that the player’s agent Fali Ramadani was spotted in London, where he is expected to meet the representatives of the Premier League champions who have seen Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen leave on a free transfer.

  1. You can tell just by watching the games he makes Napoli so much better. I was curious about the actual numbers so I looked at every game over the past two seasons. I know ADL is all about money and they might let Koulibaly go over €2m. I wonder if he realizes that by losing an additional 16% of their games they would have dropped to 9th place in Serie A and wouldn’t have made it out of group stage in Europa let alone champions league. That drop in the Serie A standings alone would have cost Napoli over €9m, but at least we lowered the wage bill lol.
