Koulibaly to make Napoli return

Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly could make his return for the side against Lecce after almost two months out, reports Il Mattino.

The Senegalese defender has been on the sidelines for the majority of Rino Gattuso’s stint on the Partenopei bench.

In fact, Koulibaly pulled up with an injury within the first five minutes of Gattuso’s first match in charge, in the 2-1 defeat to Parma, and hasn’t played since.

It was later revealed that the 28-year-old suffered a biceps femoris muscle injury, commonly known as a thigh strain.

Koulibaly has since missed seven Napoli games, but Il Mattino report that the defender could return against the Giallorossi this weekend.

The Naples daily speculates that the defender could come make an appearance from the bench, or could simply play from the start.
