Kalidou Koulibaly has reportedly signed his contract with Chelsea and he’s now ready to leave for Los Angeles, ready to join the pre-season tour.

The 31-year-old Senegalese defender will be a key defensive reinforcement for Thomas Tuchel, who lost both Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger earlier this month. Koulibaly has been one of the best defenders in Italy for years now and he’s finally been given the chance to prove his mettle in the Premier League as well.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Koulibaly has put pen to paper on his contract with Chelsea and he’s now set to leave for Los Angeles, where he’ll meet up with the Blues squad on their pre-season tour. The official announcement is expected to arrive soon.

The deal is understood to be worth €40m in total and Koulibaly is expected to earn around €10m net per season, a significant increase to the wages he received in Naples.
