Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly was racially abused after the 2-1 win against Fiorentina on Sunday. ‘They called me f****** monkey’.

The Partenopei star hit back at a group of Viola fans who had racially abused hit after the clash at the Artemio Franchi.

The defender confirmed he was racially abused on Twitter this morning, asking for the club to identify the supporters and ban them from the stadiums.

“F****** monkey. That’s what they called me,” he said. “These subjects have nothing to do with sport.

“They must be identified and kept out of the stadiums: forever. #NoToRacism.”

Victor Osimhen supported his teammate after the match with a statement on social media, while Fiorentina director Joe Barone reportedly went to personally apologise to Koulibaly
