Sky Sport Italia claim Paris Saint-Germain are ready to intercept, taking advantage of the very tense rapport between Napoli and Manchester City, which goes back to the Jorginho deal that never went through.

Because of this, the two clubs are not in direct contact and are doing everything through intermediaries like Fali Ramadani, with no written offer yet submitted by City.

However, Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà is adamant Koulibaly will go to Manchester City and it could even be by Thursday or Friday.

He insists a deal could be done for €70m plus bonuses, although much depends on dividing the more difficult ones from easier to achieve targets.

Bonuses can vary from Champions League Round of 16 qualification to winning the Premier League or European silverware.

Napoli have made it abundantly clear they want to sell in order to finance other transfer deals, while it’s reported Koulibaly has agreed a contract with Manchester City worth €12m per season net, including bonuses.
