Kalidou Koulibaly led Senegal’s dressing room celebrations after their victory in the Africa Cup of Nations Final and many current and former Napoli teammates congratulated him on social media.
Senegal won the first international trophy in their history, beating Mohamed Salah’s Egypt in the Africa Cup of Nations Final last night. Koulibaly is the Senegal captain and lifted the trophy after the penalty shootout.
The 30-year-old was busy celebrating the first major trophy for his country and shared his joy with his followers posting several pictures and videos on Instagram.
The Napoli defender could not miss the classic picture with the trophy in his bed before going to sleep last night but has also shared several messages received from his Napoli teammates, including Lorenzo Insigne who won the Euros with Italy last summer.
Koulibaly will soon return to Italy and should be fit to face Inter at the Stadio Maradona on Saturday.
