Christian Kouame is finally free to make his Fiorentina debut after being called up for their match against Parma in Serie A this evening.
Kouame signed for Fiorentina in January but came from Genoa with an ACL injury, which only now has the striker managed to recover from.
“Two-hundred-and-thirty-five days, almost eight months, have passed since that November 12,” wrote the 22-year-old on Instagram.

“The injury, the pain, the operation and the long rehabilitation. In January, the transfer to Fiorentina. Then, finally, the pitch and the ball again.
“And today, the enormous joy of reading my name on the squad list. Two-hundred-and-thirty-five days, almost eight months, during which I grew up as a man.
“However, right now I can only think about putting my boots back on and playing again.”
The Ivorian posted five goals and three assists for Genoa in the first half of the season.
