Juventus fans will have to wait a little longer to greet Filip Kostic, as the Eintracht Frankfurt man won’t be landing in Italy today.

The attacking winger had been expected to touch down at Turin’s Caselle Airport this evening, so he could have his medical and sign the contract tomorrow.

However, Sky Sport Italia and Tuttomercatoweb now insist Kostic won’t be on Italian soil until Thursday at the earliest.

The basic deal has been done, as confirmed by Eintracht Frankfurt leaving him out of the squad to play Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup this evening.

A few details are still to be worked out on the transfer, which should be for a total of €17-18m including various add-ons.

The bonuses are the parts of the agreement that still need to be fully locked down by the two clubs and his agent, as well as the usual red tape.

There had been reports Max Allegri wanted to use Kostic in this weekend’s Serie A opener against Sassuolo, but that now seems unlikely with these extra delays.
