Filip Kostic attended his first press conference as a Juventus player today, discussing his move and relationship with new teammate Dusan Vlahovic.

The 29-year-old Serbian winger joined the Bianconeri last week from Eintracht Frankfurt in a deal worth around €12m. Kostic is an important addition to Massimiliano Allegri’s squad, adding a creative and hardworking option to the left side.

Speaking at a press conference today, Kostic first discussed his move from Eintracht Frankfurt to Juventus.

“Definitely I am very happy to be here.

“The best moment? I came in at 3-0, the win left me happy, this is the moment probably.”

He commented on how it felt to find so many other Serbians at the club.

“It didn’t affect me, it’s simply something more, something positive that I took into consideration. For me it is great to be here, I am happy to play with them.”

The 29-year-old spoke about his role in the pitch and where he’d like to play.

“I’m not the one who decides. I play in the formation that the coach says.”

Finally, Kostic discussed his relationship with Vlahovic and the striker’s positive review of Juventus.

“When we were together with the national team, Dusan asked me what I thought about Juventus, he told me he would be happy to have me here.  He told me very good things about the club, I saw that he was right.

“Everything materialised. In the game, however, the ideal move would be with a good assist from 16 yards out, in the penalty area. Dusan can close it out.”

Kostic was one of the best creators in the Bundesliga in recent years, being a key contributor to Eintracht Frankfurt’s attack. Last campaign, the Serbian winger scored seven goals and provided 15 assists in 43 appearances across all competitions.
