Reports are growing that Filip Kostic is keeping West Ham United on ice because he’s waiting for Juventus to make an offer to Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Bianconeri had already agreed personal terms with the winger several weeks ago, but dropped the option to pursue other targets in areas that were more urgent.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Calciomercato.com, Sportitalia and more, Kostic has told West Ham United to wait because he is hoping that Juve will come in with a proposal.

That could happen over the next 48 hours, with the Serie A giants matching the €15m including bonuses bid to Eintracht Frankfurt.

If the offers are the same and it is up to the player to decide, then Kostic will go for Juventus.

The 29-year-old Serbia international plays primarily on the left side of a trident attack or midfield, but can also be used on the right.

His contract with Eintracht Frankfurt runs to June 2023 and he helped them win the Europa League last season.

  1. @Dan

He’s a good player, I watched him wreak havoc on Barca in the Europa League.

Much better than using Morata as a winger…

  2. ‘wreak havoc on Barca…’ The worst Barcelona side in living memory.

In the europa league finals, he neither had the energy or turn of pace to get past the right back, so spent the entire game just crossing on site. I lost count the amount of utterly useless and wayward crosses he kept putting in, no matter if the area contained his teammates or not.

Even more funny…The British press keep referring to him as a defender 😂

  3. Barca is still Barca specially when the opponent is Frankfurt. And lots of crosses is exactly what Vlahovic needs. Kostic is certainly an upgrade over Morata as a winger.

And when was the British press know for their competence?
