Juventus have sent their first official offer to Atalanta for star midfielder Teun Koopmeiners and are now waiting for a response.

The 26-year-old Dutchman is considered the Bianconeri’s top target for the summer transfer window, believed to be the perfect fit for Thiago Motta’s new project in the Piedmont capital. He shined with la Dea last term, scoring 15 goals and providing seven assists across 51 games.

Koopmeiners agreed personal terms with Juventus back in May, ready to sign a five-year contract worth circa €4.5m net per season plus add-ons, but no deal has been agreed with Atalanta yet. The Old Lady were waiting to sell Matias Soule and Dean Huijsen before launching their offer.

Juventus send Koopmeiners offer

Fabrizio Romano reports that Juventus have now officially sent in a €45m offer to Atalanta for Koopmeiners, keen to snap up the Dutch star. La Dea have reportedly set a €60m price tag, so it remains to be seen if they’ll be willing to lower their demands.

The 26-year-old made it clear back in March that he’d like to leave Bergamo this summer but Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi claimed that the club were not considering a sale.
