Atalanta had their first pre-season run-out, beating the youth team 3-0, and most notably started Juventus transfer target Teun Koopmeiners.

La Dea will start their season earlier than most, as the first competitive match will be against Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid in the UEFA European Super Cup on August 14.

Coach Gian Piero Gasperini oversaw the first test outing of the summer, as they beat the Under-19 youth team 3-0.

Koopmeiners was forced to miss the EURO 2024 tournament with the Netherlands due to a muscular injury, but was right back in action in the starting XI today.

It was just hours after directors warned Juve that selling the midfielder is not in their plans for this season.

Circa 1,500 fans were present to watch the game, along with President Antonio Percassi and CEO Luca Percassi.

New signing Ben Godfrey also featured, but did not last long, as he limped off with a minor injury after 25 minutes.

The star of the show was 19-year-old striker Siren Diao, who bagged a brace, along with a goal from 16-year-old Andrea Michieletto.

Aleksei Miranchuk was nowhere to be seen, as he is on the verge of a transfer to Atlanta United.
