Abdoullay Konko underwent his medical today and signed a contract, so he's “ready to give my all for Lazio. I'm happy to be here.”
The wide man was brought in as a replacement for Stephan Lichtsteiner, who completed his transfer to Juventus this afternoon.
“I am happy to be here and have a lot of work to do,” declared Konko after signing a five-year contract worth €1.2m per season. Genoa have received €5m for the player.
The medical lasted three hours and included tests on a recent knee injury.
“I have already put that injury behind me during the last season, so now I am ready to give my all for Lazio.
“It doesn't matter if I cut my wages or not, as the important thing was to reach an agreement so I could come to Lazio.”
The Biancocelesti are expected to sign Cagliari goalkeeper Federico Marchetti on Monday.
