Panagiotis Kone believes he has a “great opportunity” with Fiorentina, and is ready to face Inter.
The Greek international joined the Viola from Udinese on deadline day, after just two Serie A starts this season while he’s struggled with injury.
“Fiorentina is a great opportunity for me,” Kone said at his official presentation.
“I had a serious injury when I was playing with the national team and I was out for three months. I’ve been training with the squad for two weeks, I hope to play now.

“I had a serious injury when I was playing with the national team and I was out for three months. I’ve been training with the squad for two weeks, I hope to play now.
“I can play on Sunday, I’ve been training as normal. I’ve spoken with the boss [Paulo Sousa] a little bit, I have to find the right moves for the team.
“I need to understand what Sousa wants from me.
“Third place? It’s not just down to me, we have so many strong players who can get us there. We have a lot of objectives, I’m happy to be here.
“I hope to stay fit and help my teammates aim higher and higher.”
Fiorentina face Inter at the weekend, with the Nerazzurri lying just a point behind in the race for third place.
“I don’t feel tension, we’re working well, the lads are calm and friendly and have helped me right from the start.
“The game against Inter is a difficult challenge, and one that’s important to us. We know we’re strong, we want to finish as high as possible.
“They [Inter] have a very intelligent Coach [Roberto Mancini] and are organised. They’ll come here with so much hunger.
“We just have to show on the pitch that we have more hunger than them, they’re a very solid team.”
