Geoffrey Kondogbia says he doesn’t deserve whistles when Inter meet Milan, even though he turned down the Rossoneri.
The two Milanese clubs were locked in a transfer battle for the French midfielder, who eventually joined the Nerazzurri in a deal worth around €40m.
“They can whistle me if they want to,” Kondogbia told Tuttosport, when asked how he’ll be received in the Derby della Madonnina in Week 2.

“They can whistle me if they want to,” Kondogbia told Tuttosport, when asked how he’ll be received in the Derby della Madonnina in Week 2.
“But really they should whistle those at Milan who said I would join them. It’s not true, I never signed, I never gave them my word.
“Yes, Milan made me an offer which was financially superior to Inter’s. But I spoke to [Coach Roberto] Mancini, he explained the project and convinced me, so here I am.”
The former Monaco man also discussed life with his new team, admitting he’s struggling with the notoriously tough Italian training.
“I was not used to three hours of preparation,” Kondogbia confessed.
“The training sessions are much longer, as well as being intense. With respect to Monaco, they don’t even compare.
“In Spain there was a bit more work, but not at these levels.
“My game? Like everyone, I have flaws, I’m playing in Serie A to correct them. I consider Inter a team which can help me improve, to become a player with more quality.”
Finally, Kondogbia revealed two Juventus players who were instrumental in his decision to move to Italy.
“Before deciding I wanted to talk to Patrice Evra. Obviously, I wouldn’t have asked for a judgement on Inter, but on Italian football.
“He told me if you do well in Italy, you’re ready to do well anywhere, because no League prepares you so well, both tactically and physically.
“Once you’ve been here, nothing can put you in difficulty.
“Pogba? Yes, I’m friends with Paul, and we’re also teammates for the national team. But since I’ve come to Inter, we’ll also be rivals.
“My goal is to get ahead of everyone, including Pogba. I wouldn’t liken myself to him, it’s other people who do that. It’s a subject which doesn’t interest me.”
