Geoffrey Kondogbia is 'satisfied' about Inter's 1-0 win against Torino: 'But I won't answer critics, I think about myself'.

The Nerazzurri defended their first place with a typically low-scoring win against the Granata, and the Frenchman notched the decisive goal.

“The victory over Torino was very important, and scoring was a great satisfaction,” he said at the end of the match.

“The Coach told us that facing Torino would be very difficult and we spent all week preparing ourselves. The result repaid us.”

“The victory over Torino was very important, and scoring was a great satisfaction,” he said at the end of the match.

“The Coach told us that facing Torino would be very difficult and we spent all week preparing ourselves. The result repaid us.”

It was pointed out to the 22-year-old that Inter now count seven 1-0 victories in this season.

“The purpose is to make three points. The victories by 1-0 prove our strength as we defend and attack as a unit.

“Many of us have scored already and this is important. Winning 1-0 gives us three points, and that's what matters.

“My critics? I'll answer nobody, I just think about myself. When you play football it falls within the norm that some people should criticise you, you've got to accept that. I always try to do my best, and that's what I work for over the week.

“Gary Medel? I already played with him in Spain, at Sevilla. I've got a good feeling with him, he plays for the team and he helps those who play beside him.

“The fact that there's competition in the midfield is something positive. It drives us to do our best.

“The fact that there are so many players in defence and in attack allows us to change formations and individuals, but in spite of these changes we keep winning, as we did today.

“Torino? Today I saw a good team, capable of defending very well. But we haven't faced enough opponents to say who can win the Scudetto or qualify for the cups. Still, Torino aren't bad.

“As for ourselves, we showed many positive things, but we've got to keep playing the way we're doing, without making calculations.”
