Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke says the Colchoneros are not concerned about Antoine Griezmann’s form ahead of their meeting with Milan.

The French striker returned to Madrid on loan from Barcelona in the summer but has yet to score one goal in his first five appearances with the La Liga giants.

“We are not worried about Antoine. Everybody needs to regain their level, he does not play alone. He has the confidence of all and things will come,” Koke said at a press conference, as quoted by Marca.

“We have to be united. Surely he prefers to win than to shoot.”

The La Liga giants meet Milan at the Stadio Meazza tomorrow. They have collected 14 points in seven league games but lost their last match away at Alaves.

So, what do they need to do to win against Milan?

“To score goals and not be beaten. To be strong in both areas. To enter the games strong. We have to improve in both areas and we are working towards it,” the Spanish midfielder replied.

Milan lost their opening Champions League group stage game away at Liverpool two weeks ago, while Atletico Madrid were held to a 0-0 draw by Porto.

During his pre-match press conference, Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone said he is looking forward to returning to San Siro.

It’s the same stadium where the Argentinean boss played at Inter during his career as a footballer. However, Atletico lost the 2016 Champions League Final against Real Madrid at the same venue.
