Serie A target Justin Kluivert has accused Ajax of holding him to ransom. “I was told that if I didn’t sign a new deal, I couldn’t leave.”
Reports last week suggested Roma were ahead of Milan and Juventus in the race for Kluivert, son of former Milan and Netherlands striker Patrick, only for Ajax sporting director Marc Overmars to pour scorn on the speculation.

“I don’t understand what Ajax want: for me to sign a new contract so they can ask more money from the clubs interested in me?” the teenage winger, whose agent is Mino Raiola, told De Telegraf.
“My intention was to stay. Everyone knows I don’t care about money. I just want to improve and become the best in the world.
