Miroslav Klose celebrated his 35th birthday by committing to Lazio, even if “we’re not ready for the Champions League.”

The German international blows out 35 candles on his cake today and still has fresh memories of the Coppa Italia triumph.

“I have a contract until June 2014, so I am definitely staying with Lazio,” he told R-Sport.

The Biancocelesti qualified for the Europa League by beating Roma in the Coppa Italia Final, but only finished seventh in Serie A.

“Lazio are not ready yet to compete in the Champions League.”

Klose has scored 32 goals in 71 official games for the Biancocelesti.
