“I’m happy at Lazio. I want to stay here, this year and next year. If I look around, what’s better?”

Lazio sporting director Igli Tare also spoke to the website, and reiterated the striker’s sentiments.

“I can say for certain that he will not leave,” the Albanian director said.

“He has a contract until June, with the option to renew for a further 12 months.

“He’s a great player, who has written his name in the history of German football and beyond.”
