It kicks off at 20.00 GMT, you can follow all the build-up and action as it happens on the LIVEBLOG.

“I am 54 years old it’s my first time at San Siro, it’s a real shame I waited this long. I played Napoli, Juve a couple of times, Roma, but never here. It is a really exceptional stadium,” Klopp told Sky Sport Italia.

He had a similar view on Swedish television, noting: “Wow, this is really cool!” as he looked around the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

It is sold out tonight, but only at 75 per cent capacity due to COVID restrictions.

Ibrahimovic leads the attack for the Rossoneri, having turned 40 in October, and is pushing for a new contract at Milan.

“Ibrahimovic is a legend, you usually become a legend when you retire, but he is already a legend and still playing at 40! He’s a proper character, he has his opinion on things and isn’t interested in what other people think. I like that. I hope I won’t like his next 90 minutes!”

Liverpool are already guaranteed first place in their Champions League group, so have been able to rotate the squad for this final group game.

“We have five games in 14 days, so we had to rotate the squad, especially in the build-up to Christmas. Some of them were not in good shape and couldn’t play tonight anyway, while we also needed fresh legs.

“We want to bring players who are hungry and eager to prove themselves.”
