The Sardinians can catch Roma in fourth place with a win and are unbeaten in 13 Serie A rounds.
As for Lazio, they are on a run of seven consecutive league victories and can move within three points of joint leaders Inter and Juventus.
“We have to take it one game at a time. Cagliari are having a great season and winning here has never been easy at the best of times,” Lazio centre-back Patric told Lazio Style Channel.
“Our own journey has been very strong and this is like another Cup Final to stay up there in the top three. It’ll be difficult, but we are a great team and we can do it.
“It’s important to keep seeing every match as a Final, because it would be a mistake to look too far ahead or behind our shoulders. If we concentrate only on ourselves, then we can continue like this.”
