Kim Min-jae is expected in Italy for his Napoli medical on Monday, completing the €20m transfer from Fenerbahce with a release clause in his contract.

According to Calciomercato.com, the final details have been worked out between the clubs and above all the personal terms with the South Korea international’s entourage.

The fee was never an issue, as there was a €19.5m release clause in his contract with Fenerbahce, which both Napoli and Rennes were prepared to activate.

Kim ultimately chose the Partenopei, who have agreed a three-year contract that has an option to extend for another two seasons.

There will also be a release clause in the Napoli contract, set at circa €40m, which will be active from his second season at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

The 25-year-old is expected to land in Rome tomorrow evening, where he will then have his medical tests on Monday at the Villa Stuart clinic.

After that is complete, he can then travel to join Napoli in their pre-season training camp.
