Napoli have finalised the personal terms with Kim Min-jae and the Fenerbahce defender is expected to have his medical over the next 48 hours.

There is a release clause in his contract set at €19.5m, so it was up to the South Korea international to choose his next destination between Napoli and Rennes.

According to CalcioNapoli24, the last remaining details over personal terms have been resolved, with the player ready to sign a three-year contract that has an option for another two years.

There will also be a release clause in the contract, said to be over €40m, that is valid from his second season at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

The 25-year-old is expected in Rome for his medical tests over the weekend, after which he will join the rest of the Napoli squad at their pre-season training camp, which will be at Castel di Sangro from next week.

Fenerbahce had purchased Kim from Beijing Guoan for €3m in August 2021.

  1. I wish K2 the best on his new venture. And I believe Napoli made a good signing here. And didn’t wait to lose him or a week before the season begins.
