South Korea international defender Kim Min-jae endeared himself even more to Napoli fans and teammates with his ‘deepest apology’ for an error during the 3-2 win over Udinese.

His slip sparked a counter-attack that allowed the Friulani to get back into the game, as the Partenopei had been leading 3-0 at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

Kim Min-jae had been practically faultless in the season so far, both in Serie A and the Champions League, but he proved once again his humility and work ethic.

“I would like to express my deepest apology to my teammates and the fans,” he wrote on Instagram.

“We could have only won this because of my teammates. Mistakes will make me only stronger. Next time I will help the team better.”

Coach Luciano Spalletti commented to DAZN that it was the first slip from Kim Min-jae since his arrival in Naples, so at least proved he “is human.”

Meanwhile, the Instagram post was met with a series of responses from teammates and fans all reassuring him that there was absolutely no need to apologise for his first error in several months.

Giovanni Di Lorenzo replied with “You are the best my man” and Leo Ostigard simply posted the image of a crown.
