Gigio Donnarumma will start against in PSG-Angers tonight as Keylor Navas sustained an adductor injury while on international duty.

The Ligue 1 giants host Angers at the Parc des Princes tonight. It kicks off at 20.00 UK time.

Donnarumma will start between the sticks as first-choice goalkeeper Keylor Navas picked up an adductor injury while on international duty with Costa Rica.

His recovery time is still unknown and PSG Mauricio Pochettino hopes the veteran goalkeeper won’t spend too much time on the sidelines.

“Keylor is not back yet. He will be examined upon his return,” the former Tottenham coach said at a press conference.

“We spoke with him, he was desolate. Let’s hope he was subbed off as a precaution.”

Navas sustained his injury during his national team’s World Cup qualifying match against the USA on Wednesday night.

Donnarumma has played four games at PSG so far, one in the Ligue 1 and one in the Champions League, making his debut in Europe’s elite competition against Manchester City.

He had a rather complicated time during the international break as Milan fans attending the Nations League semi-final against Spain booed him on his return to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

  1. Keylor Navas is a midget who has poor positioning and is dodgy on crosses. Whilst he may be very agile and a good shot-stopper it id bonkers to have him as a first cho8ce GK at a top club. Then thete is the fact that Donnarumma is in the same squad. Donnarumma is an imposing giant who has 15+ years at top.level ahead of him. PSG decision makers must be sm9king crack.
