According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan midfielder Franck Kessié will likely snub a free transfer to Tottenham Hotspur in the summer as he prefers to stay in Serie A and both Inter and Juventus are interested.

Kessié has snubbed Milan’s contract offer worth €6.5m-a-year and is determined to leave the Rossoneri as a free agent at the end of the season.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter have already sounded out the midfielder’s availability, but the Nerazzurri will face competition from Juventus.

Tottenham Hotspur have also met the player’s agent, but Kessié seems willing to stay in Serie A.

The meeting with Spurs is described as ‘not positive’ as the Ivory Coast international prefers Serie A stay.

Inter signed Hakan Calhanoglu as a free agent from Milan last summer and hope Kessié will follow his former teammate’s path.

It remains to be seen if the Nerazzurri or Juventus will meet the player’s economic demands, given that he has reportedly asked for a new €8-9m deal at Milan.

  1. This transfer window has shown Spurs the harsh realities of life. The elite players prefer the top clubs, and having a great stadium, training ground and Conte seems to have little impact. Spurs must stop making low initial offers late into the transfer window, missing out on the key targets. Get business done quickly and early. Its hard work being a Spurs fan COYS

  2. @Samy Ibrahim – little bit bitter are we?? Inter will secure the title because they have the best team, and play the best football… simples!

  3. @richard spurs has state of the art training facilities and stadium. even conte said it when he done his first interview he is an awe with spurs training facilities and stadium. because lewy spend lots resources builded that for almost 10 years.

spurs problem not facilities, stadium or coach. they dont have brands prestige like juventus inter and milan. series a maybe not best league anymore but both 3 clubs still riches history, culture and brands compare to spurs for attract players.

  4. @Samy Ibrahim That’s rich coming from Milan fan whose team got 20 penalties last season. More than double of Inter. This season Inter have 9, Milan have 8. You’re just bitter your team is inferior to Inter

  5. @Samy Ibrahim… Yeah the thousands fake and non existence penalties and red cards favoring your team to secure the title through out history.

…btw SPELL CHECK is a free feature in your browser, it’s not Inter fault if you don’t know it!

  6. If a player does not renew before his last season – BENCH HIM, so you could SELL HIM, as in FOR PROFIT! Get it together, Milan. You keep losing top stars for free, and sometimes to direct rivals, for crying out loud!

  7. I’m actually kind of tired of talking about Kessie. Don’t care anymore. Don’t care if he goes to Inter of Juventus. Tonali will slide tackle the heck out of him the first chance he gets. Let’s just move on and focus on our players and the ones coming in. Also, for the whiners about feeder team, etc.: We’re still under an FFP agreement. There is just no way around it. If it’s violated we’ll be banned from the CL. That will really help keep and attract talent.

  8. Why would Kessie go to Rubentus? They have financial problems and have just signed Zakaria.

P$G have higher chances to land him in my humble opinion.
