Franck Kessie admits Krzysztof Piatek’s equaliser just before the break was “fundamental” for Milan to beat Atalanta 3-1.

Remo Freuler had put the hosts in front and were preparing for half-time when Piatek scored a sensational volley with the last kick of the half.

Hakan Calhanoglu and another Piatek goal, this time a header from a corner, secured the 3-1 win to turn it all around.

“This is a very important victory for us, as we had to give our all in order to win here and bring home the three points,” Kessie told DAZN.

“Piatek scored two decisive goals, but the one to equalise just before the break was fundamental.”
