Milan registered a goalless draw against Juventus in the Coppa Italia semi-finals last week and travel to Lecce on Monday for their first Serie A game since the restart.
“We’ll have to give more than we did against Juventus,” Kessie told SportMediaset.
“It’ll be a very complicated game, [but] we’re in the race for Europe and we’re all close together in the table.
“We have to try to pick up points in all our remaining matches to bring Milan as high as possible, playing them all as if they were Finals.”
The midfielder continues to be linked with Premier League moves, but he made it clear he would not leave San Siro willingly.
“I feel at home here, I want to stay here. We had a bad time with the coronavirus.
“It wasn’t easy for us to stay indoors, so now we all want to get back to playing.”
Finally, Kessie paid tribute to Gattuso after he guided Napoli to victory over Juventus on Wednesday for the first major trophy of his managerial career.
“He’s going through a sad time because of his loss, but luckily he’s feeling a bit of joy now.
“I’m very happy for him.”
Rino led the Ivorian and his Rossoneri teammates to the Coppa Italia Final in 2018, but they were thrashed 4-0 by the Old Lady on that occasion.
