Fiorentina are still on the hunt for a goalkeeper and have set their sights on a move for Chelsea shot stopper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

The Viola are in the early stages of a new project under coach Raffaele Palladino and have already been active in the market, completing deals for Marin Pongracic, Moise Kean and Andrea Colpani. They’re now pushing to pick up Genoa’s Albert Gudmundsson and Venezia’s Tanner Tessmann.

Fiorentina have also been looking for a new starting goalkeeper to take over from Pietro Terracciano and were briefly linked with a move for former Manchester United veteran David de Gea. A deal wasn’t completed for the Spaniard due to his lofty salary demands.

Fiorentina linked with Kepa Arrizabalaga

Spanish outlet DefensaCentral details how Fiorentina are seriously considering making a move for Kepa Arrizabalaga in the coming weeks, aware that he can leave Chelsea for around €5m considering that he has less than a year left on his contract.

The main problem regarding the 29-year-old Spanish goalkeeper is his wage demands as he currently earns around €9m net per season in the Premier League.
