Keita Balde Diao is close to Inter, but would have to renew his Lazio contract to make a two-year loan with obligation to buy work.
Juventus have shrugged off the €30m demands and stuck by their offer of €15m.
The Senegal international will be out of contract at the end of this season, which means he could negotiate a free transfer to Juve from January, to be completed next summer.
However, Inter are back in the running and provide a way out for both the player and his club.

As the Nerazzurri are limited by Financial Fair Play parameters, they can only do the deal on loan with obligation to buy, thus spreading out the cost over several financial years.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the plan therefore is for Keita to sign a new contract with Lazio and then immediately join Inter on a two-year loan with obligation to buy in 2019.
The striker would receive a salary worth €3m per year at San Siro.
Napoli and Milan are also still interested in the former Barcelona youth product.
