Moise Kean explains why he believes Giacomo Raspadori’s characteristics can work well with his own, as they start together for Italy against Israel this evening.

It kicks off on neutral turf at the Boszik Arena in Budapest at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).

It was the start of a new era on Friday when the Nazionale conceded the earliest goal in their history after just 14 seconds, but clawed their way back to beat France 3-1 in Paris.

Now they have an opportunity to break away at the top of the Nations League group, as France and Belgium go head-to-head in the other fixture this evening.

“We played very well in Paris and it was important to bring balance to the team when I came on from the bench,” Kean told RAI Sport.

Kean reborn at Fiorentina

The 24-year-old has four goals in 16 senior caps for Italy, but above all has scored three times in five appearances for Fiorentina this season, ending a year-long drought at Juventus.

“It is very important for me, the Nazionale is special for me and I want to prove that I deserve to wear this shirt.”

His partner is Napoli forward Raspadori, who is more of a deep-lying figure than a fellow centre-forward.

“Raspa is a player who really goes around the striker, so I really like his characteristics. It’s a good test, we want to make the most of our talent.”

There are a few changes from the side that beat France, as Riccardo Calafiori and Lorenzo Pellegrini are ruled out by injury.

Raoul Bellanova and Federico Gatti also come in for Andrea Cambiaso and Giovanni Di Lorenzo.
