Moise Kean celebrates his first Serie A goal of the season in a 4-0 win over Empoli and thanks the Juventus squad for ‘staying close to me during a difficult time.’
This is the first time in the current season that the Bianconeri have managed back-to-back Serie A victories, following on from the 1-0 Derby della Mole win over Torino to crush Empoli 4-0.
It was a very even match until after Weston McKennie doubled their lead, from the Kean early tap-in, then Adrien Rabiot bagged a late brace.
“We must continue like this, we are working hard, the points we had were not enough and from now on we must always prove ourselves the way we did this evening,” Kean told DAZN.
“We looked ourselves in the eye before the game, had that pre-match huddle on the pitch and said we had to give our all for the fans, the club and the jersey.
“It was not an easy start for me, as I struggled, but my teammates helped me so much. I always tried to work hard, despite what people said outside and inside, the important thing is to prove yourself on the pitch.
“I recognise the group does a lot. The squad stayed close to me during a difficult period and I hope to continue helping them now.”
The atmosphere changed as the game wore on, as there were some jeers during the first half when Juve were sitting deeper and deeper on their 1-0 lead.
“I just focused on playing, I didn’t hear any jeers.”
