Moise Kean assures ‘Juventus do not fear anyone’ in the Champions League Round of 16, including his former Paris Saint-Germain teammates.

The striker had three goals in nine Champions League games for PSG last season while on loan from Everton, but tonight’s header to beat Malmo 1-0 was his first in the competition for Juve.

Champions League | Juventus 1-0 Malmo: Kean and Zenit give Juve group

Thanks to this result and the last-gasp Zenit 3-3 draw with Chelsea, Juventus go through as group winners and will be seeded in the Round of 16 draw.

“It’s very satisfying for us to go through as group winners, now this gives us motivation to work even harder and be ready for the final stages of the tournament,” Kean told Sky Sport Italia.

The striker was asked who the Bianconeri wanted to avoid in the next round of the competition, including Kean’s old teammates at PSG.

“Juventus do not fear anyone, we are a great team and we’ll be ready for whatever awaits us. I am here at Juventus now, I feel at home.”

The Italy international was named Man of the Match by UEFA for his goal against Malmo.

“This is just the start, it’s huge motivation for me to work even harder and give more to the team.”

  1. Italians can’t stop talking. First making fun of England non stop and now they might miss the World Cup, then bashing Ronaldo and now he might be the reason they miss the World Cup, then inter players saying Madrid are not much better, now this?

It’s like Italian teams and players are asking to eat their own words

  2. I guess Stefano you know all about Italians, You may a name that sounds Italian but you have no passion when it comes to Italy.
And if you have been living under a rock Italy did win the 2020 Euro’s and before you come back and it was 2021smart ass.

You have no idea about this sport ( Football ) they all do it and say things about teams in England, Spain and Portugal.

What as this got to do with the world cup? And from one Italian, Italy will be there in 2022 world cup as you said we do like to talk.

  3. Congrats to Nedved and Allegri (the Italian James Bond [Roger Moore])
You see pep talks, retreats that stuff works, now all you need to do is ban the fast food plz from the canteen.
Flick some balls over defenders, plz do not kick at the keeper.
This ain’t no party, this ain’t no disco, this ain’t no foolin’ aroundddddd!

  4. PSG are probably the hardest draw but they are hyped up to be better than they are. Hard to predict how good or bad they’ll be in any given game.

A Madrid would be tough but, like Juve themselves, they are a shadow of what they were several years. Juve might be slight favourites vs them.

Benfica, Salzburg, Villarreal??, and S Lisbon are all beatable. Problem is, they’ll be happy enough to draw Juve too.

  5. Agree with Ferban and Enzo,

Stefano, do you know that during the Nations League (or could have even been Euro 2020) Luis Enrique (Manager of Spain) took the Spanish Media to task for their unpleasant and stereotypical words about Italian football?

Read Kean’s words again. Show me where he said something wrong. He never said they don’t fear PSG. He said “they don’t fear any one” after the question was posed to him that they could play his ex-loan team.

Big Difference. There is context to his comments.

  6. @stefano…the England fans’ and players’ arrogant words before the final actually helped inspire Italy to win the Euros. Look it up. Chelsea cost themselves top spot tonight for being complacent. PSG could do the same seeing as they’ve done it repeatedly in past seasons despite spending insane sums of money. This is a poor Juve, yes, but they’re starting to play with heart and the season is long.

  7. It’s unbelievable that it happened twice when the italian team would win a trophy, juventus be punished, as it happened in 2006 and now that might be again on inflated players’ exchange costings.
But nothing happened on the fact that Spanish clubs were accused of government’s dubdidiaries.
    Juventus motto is ‘resistere’.
