Rick Karsdorp is confident Roma can build on their derby success, targeting fourth place and the Conference League, as he is ‘perfectly in sync’ with Tammy Abraham.

The Giallorossi are right back in the swing of things after flattening their arch rivals Lazio 3-0 in the Derby della Capitale.

Abraham scored twice in that match, along with a sensational Lorenzo Pellegrini free kick.

“We’ve got to build on that, because it was our best performance of the season,” Karsdorp told Sky Sport Italia.

The right-wing-back has provided four assists already for Abraham, who scored 23 goals in 40 competitive games for Roma this term.

“He is a special striker. I’ve got four assists for him, but those are destined to grow, because we are perfectly in sync.”

Jose Mourinho’s men will face Bodo/Glimt in the Europa Conference League quarter-finals and have to be considered one of the contenders to lift the trophy.

It is also an opportunity for revenge, having lost an extraordinary match 6-1 to the Norwegians in the group phase.

“We want to fight to win the Conference League and we’re still in the running for fourth place in Serie A too.”
