In March, rumours claimed Roma were hoping to sell Karsdorp back to Feyenoord for €8m, but Calciomercato.com has revealed that sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli might be ready to give the Dutch defender a chance to impress at the San Paolo.
Both players are outcasts at their respective clubs but the report claims they could be the protagonists of an exchange deal this year and the Giallorossi directors are trying to use Karsdorp as bait to get the Albanian full-back to the Olimpico.
Hysaj has been linked with Roma previously and sporting director Gianluca Petrachi will, according to the outlet, enter discussions with Giuntioli.
The Albania international has played 13 times in Serie A this season, providing one assist so far, with Karsdorp currently on loan at Feyenoord.
