Rick Karsdorp was reportedly confronted by some Roma fans outside his house this week as the club look to re-home the Dutchman in January.

After the Giallorossi’s 1-1 draw with Sassuolo on Wednesday of this week, Jose Mourinho angrily referred to the 27-year-old Dutch full back when speaking to the media, complaining about his professionalism and suggesting that the player find a new club in January. Although Karsdorp wasn’t mentioned by name, it was clear who the Roma coach was speaking about.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport, it’s not an easy time for Karsdorp, who is upset and anxious, especially after some Roma fans waited outside his house two nights ago to confront him.

His agent Johan Henkes has asked Mourinho for an explanation to the situation. In the meantime, Juventus are seriously considering picking up the 27-year-old to replace Juan Cuadrado in January and a meeting could be held with the Giallorossi soon.

Karsdorp joined Roma in the summer of 2017 from Feyenoord in a deal worth around €16m. He’s made 122 appearances across all competitions for the Giallorossi and his contract is set to expire in 2025.
