England international Harry Kane admits Antonio Conte has improved him as a striker at Tottenham Hotspur. ‘He will keep pushing you to your limits and I enjoy that.’
It is hardly the first time that a centre-forward has said similar things about Conte, for instance Romelu Lukaku during their two-year stint working together at Inter.
Although his Spurs future is still not entirely guaranteed and Kane would only talk about finishing the season, he as full of praise for what Conte has brought to the club and his own career.
“Antonio is a fantastic coach, since he’s come in we’ve got on really well. He brings his ideas to the game, he brings the way he wants me to play, so I definitely learned different aspect of my game under him,” said Kane at a press conference while on international duty with England.
“I feel physically in a better place, we train really hard every day, I felt the benefits of that, how I feel physically and even mentally with that sharpness.
“As always, I feel like I can keep improving and Antonio is definitely a manager who will keep pushing you to your limits and I enjoy having someone like that as a manager.”
