The striker had put his team in front after just four minutes, but when Gonzalo Rodriguez saw red the game was turned around.
“We started the match well, but then were unable to continue playing in that style,” Kalinic told reporters.

“Did I handle for the goal? I’d have to watch it back, I can’t remember. The important thing is that it went in.
“This was a complicated game for us, as Basel are talented and play good football. Now we must forget this match and look forward.”
