During his interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan legend Kaka revealed what Cristiano Ronaldo, Paolo Maldini and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have in common and refused to rule out reuniting with Adriano Galliani at Monza.
The 2007 Ballon d’Or winner played with Ronaldo at Real Madrid and Maldini at Milan but never shared the dressing room with Ibrahimovic, who joined the Rossoneri one year after Kaka’s transfer to the Estadio Bernabeu.
Ronaldo left European football in January, joining Al-Nassr, a choice that Kaka understands.
“I think he wants to quit football by playing,” he said.
“I understand him, he is a special player. Players like him bring to the team a simple concept. Winning is not like losing. I have the feeling that many young players don’t understand this. If they win, it’s great, if not it doesn’t matter. It’s not like this.
“Maldini was a great example of this. He had won four Champions League and he wanted the fifth. Players like him make the difference, Zlatan can still be useful thanks to his mentality.”
Kaka has recently got his coaching badges but admits seeing himself more as a director than a coach in the future.
Perhaps, he could reunite with ex-Milan director Galliani who brought him to Milan in 2003.
“Why not? Galliani would be an excellent teacher. I spoke to him in Qatar and there is a lot I can learn from him. Italian football is still alive and one always has to deal with Serie A.”
During the first part of his interview with Gazzetta, Kaka discussed the future of Rafael Leao at San Siro, telling the Portuguese star to stay at the club but highlighting that this is the “right moment to leave” if he wants to.
