Juventus have named their squad for the Champions League group phase, leaving out Kaio Jorge and Luca Pellegrini.

The Bianconeri are up against Chelsea, Zenit St Petersburg and Malmo, beginning in Sweden on September 14.

Max Allegri has a list of 23 players available and one of the reasons why Moise Kean was brought back from Everton is his status as one of their youth products.

Of the senior players, Kaio Jorge and Luca Pellegrini have had to be cut.

The Brazilian teenage striker was signed from Santos for €1.5m plus bonuses.

Juventus squad for Champions League:

Perin, Pinsoglio, Szczesny; Bonucci, Chiellini, Cuadrado, Danilo, De Ligt, De Sciglio, Alex Sandro, Rugani; Bentancur, Locatelli, McKennie, Rabiot, Arthur, Ramsey; Bernardeschi, Chiesa, Dybala, Kean, Kulusevski, Morata

  1. I Don’t think it would have made any difference because they ain’t going get very far in the competition.

  2. @Johnny. Aren’t Arthur and Ramsey injured as well? Haven’t they been injured for the majority of the time they’ve been at Juventus? Muppet.

  3. I’m sorry to say being a Juve fan ….. it’s going to take at least 2 seasons to get back to where they were. The transfers for the last 2 seasons have been shocking !!!! I’m glad the main reason of the transfer failures has now landed a job in north London 😉 good luck Spurs. Like Juve you’ll never win the CL and that’s being an honest Juve fan.

  4. A great player needs a few months at juve before they can begin to play so they get used to the system of BS. At other clubs they get thrown in pretty quickly and they show what they are made off. Juve wants them to build muscle and treat them like farm animals until they are ready to play. By that time its the business end of the season and they cant risk games with players without any match fitness or experience. Its lo stile

  5. Kaio Jorge is 19 & injured @ the moment, he will more than likely get playing time in the cup & championship, think its a step too far for him CL, need to find his feet in Italy 1st. IMO better to introduce him when Juve system is working better, bring him on last 15 min when team is leading 2-0 or more that way not as much pressure to change game but b integrated with the style & tactics required to perform @ this level.

  6. I’m sure that if Juve qualify he’ll be included for the knockout stages. It’ll give him an incentive to prove his worth too when he returns from injury.
